Leadership in a Civil Air Patrol composite squadron consists of:
Squadron Commander - Squadron commanders are responsible to Civil Air Patrol and to the wing commander (or group commander if applicable) for ensuring that the organizations objectives, policies, and operational directives are effectively executed within their squadron.
Deputy Commander for Seniors (DCS) - The DCS is responsible to the squadron commander for ensuring that the objectives, policies and directives are effectively executed within the squadron with emphasis on the senior (adult) personnel.
Deputy Commander for Cadets (DCC) - The DCC is responsible to the squadron commander for directing and implementation of the CAP Cadet Program within the squadron.
Cadet Commander - A cadet level position, the Cadet Commander is responsible to the DCC and Squadron Commander for the implementation of the CAP cadet program within the squadron.
